So uh, I couldn't find the fuel filler release for about 20 minutes earlier. Or the dipstick. Now I feel like a dipstick.

I had to search Google on my phone at the gas station. Can't imagine what I would've done before smartphones.

Yeah, the end of that 20 minutes was google time.

I had to help a random old lady figure out how to open the filler cap on her daughter's Mitsubishi the other day. Was just flipping the thing open with your finger ever too much of a burden for anyone?

LOL! I forgot about that. I did the same thing when I got my S2000. I looked down to the floor and was baffled. Took me a minute or two of searching and having to actually turn sideways in the seat before I spotted it.

I had to do the same when I was trying to sort out a problem with my starter. Had to google where it was because I couldn't see it from underneath. I was looking on the wrong side of the engine (not wrong end mind you, I'm not quite that clueless).

Turns out its above the oil filter housing which sticks out of the front-facing side of the engine.

My husband had that happen when we borrowed my dad's car. Eventually I got out, walked over and figured what the hell and pushed on it. Pop.

My buddy's 2013 Focus has a near impossible to find fuel door and when you open it, there is no cap. Weird!

Oh dude. That reminds me of watching the guys at the shop I'm friendly with try to change the oil filters on a Superleggera.

All new Fords are capless. It all started with the GT. That my humble Fusion has this in common with a Ford GT fill me with mirth :D

The thing that drives me nuts about my Focus ST's fuel door is they felt the need to put a small circular dimple on it so you can find it. Once you know where it is, you don't need the dimple there. Just put a little sticker on the door that I can remove.

We all have mental lapses from time to time. I was surprised by where the interior trunk release is on my buddy's 95 Mustang.

BTW Is that the Woodlands High-school?

The Woodlands Class of 2010.

Have you gone out to the car show at Market Street at all?

Nice Honda btw. I am currently DD'ing an 08 Si sedan.

Nice! And I have. I prefer the show at vintage park closer to Houston that the guys from my shop help organize.

I would really like to visit that shop. Are they friendly? I'd feel strange just walking up to check out the place. What exactly do they do?

Tuning, services, and housing the owner's collection. And they are friendly, but that could be because my family are good customers, and I'm the kid that's willing to talk and help

Sweet. I may try to visit them some time and actually possibly be a potential customer...I don't mind paying premium prices knowing my car is being taken care of the way it should be.
